Hi beauties! Welcome back to another "BeYOUtiful Blog"! I am so excited to share this blog with you all! This blog features the amazing and beautiful Alix Troupe who has not only inspired so many young pageant girls but also myself!

How did you find so much confidence in yourself and what would you tell others girls who are struggling to find that confidence?

Honestly I still struggle with confidence from time to time. I think that’s normal. To be honest with you I really didn’t know what it meant to actually be confident and love who I am until I grew a closer relationship with Jesus. There’s nothing like knowing that someone knows every single thing about you and still chooses you daily. He knows my struggles, my failures, my everything... and still loves me enough to die for me. Nothing will boost your confidence or make you feel more chosen than that right there. The biggest tip I have to staying confident and in that mindset is to surround yourself with people who are like minded. Allow people in your life who fill you with positivity and truth. Believe it or not you have control over who you let affect you. You’re allowed to be selfish when it comes to your mental health and if someone is impacting that in a negative way, take a step away.

Have you ever felt like you didn’t fit in? What is something you would tell someone that feels this way?

Going to be real vulnerable here. When it comes to “fitting in” I’ve never felt like I did. My life just seemed so different from my friends. My parents were never married, we certainly were not wealthy, my mom made ends meet somehow. She sacrificed a lot so that I could do pageants. Now, I know there were lots of other kids who where in similar situations but when you're a kid/teenager you don’t see it that way. All through middle school and high school I tried so hard to just fit in. I wanted so bad to be like everyone else. What’s crazy is that now all the adversity I’ve faced is what makes me relatable. People are way more interested in that than thru are the sunshine and rainbows.

You are an inspiration to so many people on a daily basics. What do you think makes you truly “BeYOUtiful”?

First of all, I love the phrase "BeYOUtiful." That’s awesome. I think my drive and work ethic are the things I admire most about myself. Those are the qualities that have gotten me out of situations and helped me to better myself and my life. When I think about the things I’ve accomplished at 25, I feel beautiful.

If you could tell your younger self one thing what would it be?

Oh gosh. So many things. First of all, don’t waste time on people or things that don’t make you happy. You have one life. Don’t waste a single second of it trying to please others if you’re not happy. Secondly, I’m still working on this one, just let go and trust God’s plan. You don’t have to have all the answers right then. Just relax. It will all workout.
