Hi everyone! Welcome back to another "beYOUtiful" blog post! This week I am so excited to introduce you to the amazing Alyssa Gallagher your 2019 International Junior Miss International Miss. Alyssa is an amazing representation of someone who is truly "beYoutiful" inside and out. If you have followed Alyssa's year as the IJM International Miss you would know Alyssa is not only so talented but has a huge heart for helping others!
1. Tell us about your year as the 2019 International Junior Miss International Miss. What was your experience like competing at Internationals, and what is something you learned from this amazing once in a lifetime experience?
Being crowned the 2019 IJM International Miss was an absolute dream come true. This was my third year competing at Internationals and this year I wanted to make sure that I was 110% myself taking every day in one by one. Throughout this experience I’ve learned how to inspire while being inspired making sure that I continue spreading the amazing sisterhood for this organization.
2. During your reign what was something you advocated for or something you wanted others to learn from you?
During this year I have been able to speak to girls all over the world with my platform "Rainbow for Kids" (An organization that speaks to children who grieve over loss and death of a family member or friend). After losing my mom, myself I have been able to spread my love for these kids by expressing how you need to embrace the memories you have made with that person and never let it stop you from reaching your dreams.
3. I have seen you are a dancer, tell us a little more about this talent of yours?
I have been a dancer since the age of 3 and was grateful enough to also walk away with the International Talent title last year after performing a tap routine for my talent at Internationals. I studied dance at Point Park University for 2 years and then continued my education at California University of PA working on my Business Administration and Marketing Degrees. My life goal is to become a Radio City Rockette in New York City as I have attended and auditioned for the company many times making it to the Top 28 and securing my spot on the alternate list. I cant wait for the day I get to be on the stage at Radio City Music Hall.
4. What do you think makes someone truly beautiful inside and out?
The best quality to have is being genuine and humble. I was grateful enough to be raised by a family that has always taught me to chase my dreams and never let anything stop me. Although there can be many setbacks the comeback is always the best part of your story! My favorite quote has always been “Be Patient. The Best Things Happen Unexpectedly”.
