Hey everyone! I am so happy to share another "Bravely BeYOUtiful Blog" with you all! Today's blog is about the beautiful Makenzie White! She is a pageant sister of mine and I am so thankful to have her in my life. She is gorgeous inside and out and her personality lights up any room. She was recently crowned the new "America's National Miss Teen 2020". I love you forever Makenzie!

So you were recently crowned the new America’s National Miss Teen 2020. Through your year what is something you plan to do with your title?

I am super excited for my year as the new ANM teen! There are so many things I am looking forward to using my title for, But one thing in particular i’m super excited for is the "IOCDF" 1 million steps for OCD virtual walk! I just registered and I cannot wait to do so many things not only to fundraise for people with the same disorder as me, but also to spread awareness!

What is your platform and how will you continue to promote it?

My platform is called "M Squared"! My sister Marlo and I started our platform a few years ago to help people in our community! We make care packages and bring them to local family violence and women and children’s shelters! I recently started something part of my platform called "M Squared Cares"! This is all about talking about mental health and breaking the stigma around obsessive compulsive disorder. This title is not only a dream come true, it’s a way for me to reach out to so many more people who maybe don’t understand OCD.

Have you ever been bullied and if so how did you overcome?

I have been bullied before and it is super sad how common it is. It’s crazy to think that I was bullied the worst in only 4th grade. I learned that if you surround yourself with people who love you then you can overcome anything!

What is something you would tell someone else that you see is being bullied?

If I were to tell someone who is being bullied one thing, I would tell them to know their worth! Other people’s opinions do not define you! You are amazing, beautiful, and super strong!

Who is someone you look up too and why?

One person I look up to is my grandma! Not only is she the best grandma in the world, but she is also a cancer survivor! She is 100% the strongest person I know! The reason she inspires me so much is because she did not let cancer take her smile! She fought and stayed positive and is now cancer free!

What do you think makes you truly beautiful?

I think that beauty is on the inside. Being beautiful is about being kind, confident, and being yourself! Once you learn to love yourself, that is all you need! Every single person is beautiful in their own ways matter what they look like!
